Nariman Teymourian, Chairman of the Board
Nariman Teymourian has been a CEO and COO for more than 15 years and brings a comprehensive set of proven skills, experience, and education to Gale Technologies. He has also held executive positions in several large companies, including TRW, MicroAge, and Lockheed-Martin. Nariman has extensive government experience as a senior advisor, consultant, and researcher with the U.S. Government's Departments of Energy, Defense, and State and related government agencies such as the RAND Corporation, Council on Foreign Relations, and the World Bank. Nariman has been a lecturer at the University of Southern California, where he taught courses on International Business, Political Science, and Organizational Development.
David Spreng, Managing General Partner, Crescendo Ventures
David Spreng is the founder and managing general partner of Crescendo Ventures, a Palo Alto-based international venture capital firm with more than $1 billion under management. During his 17 years in the venture capital industry, David has been active in the formation and development of nearly 50 technology companies with 16 IPOs and a dozen trade-sales. Some of the companies with which David is currently involved include Compellent, eSilicon, Envivio, Pure Digital, and Gale Technologies. David has been ranked on the Forbes Midas list (8th among VCs in 2005). He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, a member of the board of the National Venture Capital Associations (NVCA) and a regular participant at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
Wayne Cantwell, General Partner, Crescendo Ventures
Wayne Cantwell joined Crescendo Ventures in early 2003. Drawing upon 20 years of experience, he works with companies in the semiconductor, SIP and technical software arenas, as well as provides operational experience and support to Crescendo's portfolio companies. Immediately prior to Crescendo, Wayne served as president and CEO of inSilicon Corporation where he led the company through an IPO and several successful acquisitions. Before assuming the role of CEO at inSilicon, Wayne was responsible for overseeing Phoenix Technologies' worldwide field operations. Previously, Wayne has held sales and engineering positions with Intel Corporation and NEC Corporation.
